Kendra Messer has been teaching riding lessons since she was 16 years old, when she started with local kids in her neighborhood. Over twenty years later, she has had the privilege to ride under many instructors and work with many great people in the horse world.
Kendra has also been the assistant coach for Colby Sawyer College Equestrian Team since November of 2010. Coaching at the college level is a great opportunity that allows Kendra to keep her teaching skills sharp and to travel around New England for the team shows.
Kendra enjoys teaching and sharing her love for horses. Over the years she has developed her own special way of teaching the basics of horsemanship from the ground up. She focuses mostly on hunter/jumper training but with a strong dressage emphasis to create a confident, well balanced rider.
We offer lessons year round here at the stables. We have a 80 X 180 outdoor riding arena with a sand and clay base footing and a beautiful state of the art 80 X 180 indoor riding arena. Lessons are available Monday through Friday by appointment, please call for availability.
Private lessons are required for all lunge line students until they are able to trot off from the lunge or until the instructor is comfortable with student being in a group.
We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. If proper notice is not given you will be billed for the lesson. If you miss multiple lessons in a row your time slot may be given to another student. Cancellations due to weather are at the discretion of WMS.
